here a quote from Luftwaffe im Focus Edition No 3:
The aircraft was built in Schwäbisch-Hall and was delivered as the Me 262 V11, Werknummer 110555, manufacturer’s code NN+HE. Ist first flight as an A-1a was made on 25 November 1944. In late November-early December the aircraft was converted into the Me 262 A-2a/U2 “V555“, the prototype of an experimental bomber version of the Me 262. A Lotfe 7H bombsight, a Lotfe-Kanzel II glazed nose and a K-22 autopilot were installed in the aircraft. The conversion work was probably completed by 10 December 1944. Only two prototypes of the high-speed bomber variant of the Me 262 were built and tested. After 22 test flights, in the spring of 1945 the V555 was assigned to an operational unit, however there is some uncertainty as to which unit. Some claim that it, like the second conversion, the V484, was flown by NAG 6 in the final weeks of the war. The other, more likely scenario ist hat the V555 was transferred to 1.(F)/100, which was based in Lechfeld in early April 1945.
The place in the aircraft’s glazed nose was normally occupied by a second crewmember who operated the Lotfe 7H bombsight.

I did a mistake about the word "bombardment". I think the correct word, in english, is "bombing". But the Me 262 "V 555" was really a "bombing version", just used for test flights.

Information I have about this plane comes directly from one of the 3 aviators on the V 555 : Ofw. Karl Nitschke. I met him in 2008 and he gave me much information about his military career. I could copy, too, his flugbuch, a wonderful flugbuch, so precise and so complete, with all his comments ! In my book about the Wekusta 2, I related as precisely as possible, his military career, from October 1937 to 8th of May 1945.


Concerning the other question you asked me (2 unusual antennas), I have no information. Nevertheless, I really appreciated what Leo (Rottler) told you about V 555.
