There were no 190s with the 617xxx prefix. JG 2 lost 5 x 190A-7s and 1 A-6 that we know of. Closest one would be in in the 642xxx range. |

Another difficulty is that 2./JG 2 was in Italy on 2 March 1944 (see http://www.ghostbombers.com/JG2/jg2frame.html).

More likely an erronous record for an aircraft in the 176xxx series in my opinion Regards, Andreas B |

Regarding the date and my researches W.Nr 176xxx is not possible as they were not yet built . More probably a machine in the range 170xxx. Eric |
