				Re: Werknr 171472 of FW 190 ??
I can only confirm that this was a Fw 190 A-8 built by one of Focke Wulfs plants at Kottbus, Marienburg and Sorau from March 1944. I have no info on the aircraft you are looking for, but an number of aircraft around this W.Nr. were allocated to J.G.1 and J.G.6. |

Alexander, perhaps if you could tell where you got the WNr. we could tell more. Closest numbers are from I./JG 11. I./JG 2, I./Gg 26 and II./JG 26 are further away... cheers, John. |

				Re: Werknr 171472 of FW 190 ??
Hello, I've received this werknr from the daughter of a WW2 veteran who stayed at the airbase of Saint-Trond (A-92), Belgium in 1944/1945. Aircarft was abandoned or crashed....perhaps during "Bodenplatte"?? So may be JG 2 then! Cheers, Alexander |

Not a Bodenplatte crash. Probably left behind in September 1944. It is known that at least 2 Ju 88's and 2 Fw 190's, all stripped, were found at St.Trond. John |

				Re: Werknr 171472 of FW 190 ??
hello John, Thanks for the information. I rechecked with the person of the US and It seems to be that it was one of the FW 190's which were abandoned at A-92. Regards, Alexander |
