RAF weapons container for (resitance) arms supply technical question
... or rather, about how they were transported. Specifically, I wonder if anyone knows whether any modifications were needed to the aircraft's bomb bays, or that the supply containers were simply carried as regular bombs.
By the way, if anyone has any specifications of these containers (dimensions, colour, etc), or drawings or photographs, that would be most appreciated. Regards, Elger

You may find valuable info here: http://harringtonmuseum.org.uk/DZ%20...utumn%2007.pdf An Halifax, which I believe from your website is an aircraft of your interest, could hold 15 C-type containers in its bomb bay. This was the standard RAF type of container, six feet long. A Whitley could carry 12 containers. Groet, Leendert
