Ju 88 crashed at Ostend beach ?

Does anyone have more information about this event. The aircraft code looks like it's ??+AR and it looks like it happened at Ostend, although this is not certain.

Thanks in advance,
Rudi.

Hi ,

If the code is L1+AP then it " could " be this one :

29/05/1940
Nieuwpoort beach
Ju-88 A1
5./LG1 - L1+AP
Flgr Tessmann Siegfried ( KIA ) 02/05/1918 Berlin
Oblt von Oelhaven A ( POW ) Staffelkapitän
Fw Notzke W ( POW )
Tessmann buried as unknown at Lommel Belgium

6./LG1 Junkers Ju88A-1. Shot down by Hurricanes over Dunkirk and belly-landed on Nieuport beach 8.30 p.m. Possibly that claimed by S/L Donaldson and P/O Hamar of No.151 Squadron. BF Oberfw Fritz Stobbe, and BS Flgr Siegfried Tessmann both killed, FF Oberlt Alfred von Oelhafen (Staffelkapitän) captured slightly wounded – later released, and BO Fw Wilhelm Notzke captured unhurt. Aircraft L1+AP 100% write-off.

Thanks Robert, Alain & Peter for your quick reply. It's very much appreciated.

I had the wrong crash place, the wrong aircraft ID number and no date to go on and you guys cracked it in half a day! You guys are GOOD!

Kind regards,
Rudi.
