RAF Air Sea Rescue Launch 116

Somewhere, but I simply cannot now recall where, I have seen a nice image of the RAF ASR Rescue Launch No 116. My recollection is that it might be a colour image, and has possibly been reproduced in one of the many coffee-table type books on the Battle of Britain. The question is; which one? Can anyone point me to which book caries this image, or otherwise what the source of that image might be?

Re: RAF Air Sea Rescue Launch 116

I have since turned up this rather poor image (via the internet) of 116.

Wonder if anyone recognises it, or (importantly!) knows the original source? If it is IWM, I have thus far not found it.

Andy

did you find the pic from this site?

http://asrmcs-club.com/BoatsWebsite/index.html

He seems to imply that a number of photos were contributed by the named authors.

as there are 4 pics of 116.

Re: RAF Air Sea Rescue Launch 116

Hi there,

There is a website with a lot of information on this kind of vessels in the form of scanned copies of articles. There is also a picture of HSL 116:
