Re: Bf109E WNr.5949

15 November 1940: 4./JG2 Messerschmitt Bf109E-4 (5947). Shot down by Sgt J.N. Glendinning of No.74 Squadron during freelance sortie and abandoned over the coast at Felpham, east of Bognor Regis, 4.15 p.m. FF Uffz Rudolf Miese baled out and captured badly burned and wounded landing at Lyminster - admitted to hospital in Littlehampton. Aircraft White 10 + 100% write-off.
Due to the severity of his wounds, Rudolf Miese was repatriated to Germany in May 1944 via a prisoner exchange through the International Red Cross.

Thank You very much Peter and Tomislav.

Must be a typo on the Kracker list.

Regards, Franck.
