Re: the Ju 88s in winter
Those Ju 88s must be in Finland, I believe that's a Finnish Dornier Do 17Z between them.

Re: A few Me-110 photos
Hi
Assuming that is a Bf110G-2 LN+?R of 13(Z)/JG% in late 1943? The two Ju88's look like they colud be at Malmi or Pori (Finland) being prepared for delivery North. regards Mark |

All
None of the Ju 88 depicted was for Finland. The Do 17Z in the middle is DN-52 Cheers Stig |

Re: A few Me-110 photos
Bf110 G-2
Not an F according to engine cowlings and bordfunk/gunners position. If you are using LN+NR Bf110F-2 at the Berlin Technische Museum as an example 0 the engine cowlings they have are also wrong! When recovered, they were missing, but had some G models from somewhere. Mark |

Re: A few Me-110 photos
Triangular window (not three small circular windows) on port engine cowling? G-2.
And I know you will reply with DF loop... Do we have another hybrid here...?

Re: A few Me-110 photos
"Not an F according to engine cowlings and bordfunk/gunners position."
Engine cowling for F and G have the same shape, differences are in air scoop and instruments windows. Unfortunately we can't see if it is a triangular window OR if the three rounded ones area was crudely left unpainted. To my knowledge, no G-2 flew with the B/C/D/E/F canopy model displayed in the photo. The bordfunker position is the same, what changes is the rear portion of the canopy for G-2 and G-4 series. The D/F loop antenna, as you know John, leads to F series. Even if I agree with the engine nacelle instrument windows, it is still 2x1 for the F team, and we would still be in a conundrum created by an hybrid airplane. Unfortunately, since we both aren't on ebay auctions anymore, the possibility of a better analysis of the original or its high res. copy is out of question...? |
