8./JG2 lost pilot 21 October 1941
Hi guys
Can anyone help with the identity of the 8./JG2 pilot shot down on 21 October 1941 in the Boulogne area, please? Cheers Brian |

The only JG 2 losses I have on that date were in accidents or an engine failure. What do you have that indicates a shoot-down?

Its mentioned in Don Caldwell's JG26 War Diary, page 185. Possibly the pilot survived unhurt and therefore not recorded? Cheers Brian |

The 1941 the damage and VLM reports are still with us. Of course, there may have been minimal damage (less than 10%) which would not be recorded. Also, JG 2 could be pretty slack, at times, with its record keeping.

There is a loss for Stab.
21/10/41. Ofw. Günther Seeger. (Wounded). Stab / JG 2. Bf 109 F-4. (WNr. 7075). Engine trouble, lands on belly in Blendecques, 3.5 km south-south-east of St. Omer. Aircraft destroyed 85%.
