SPINKA,Dobromil. Czech 311 Sqn RAF Wellingto KX-A

WELLINGTON KX-A s/n Z1167 Dobromil Spinka with the rest of the crew were shot down on 3rd March 1942. 20 Km N-W of Terschelling, Holland at 21.45pm. They are believed
to have been shot down by Paul Gildner.
I would like to hear from anyone who may have additional info.
My Father-in -law knew Spinka in 1941-1942

Re: SPINKA,Dobromil. Czech 311 Sqn RAF Wellingto KX-A

Hi Jeffrey.
I do not know whether I'll help. Data are from the book "The sky proud Albion" (Jiří Rajlich)
Sgt Dobromil Špinka (787889) RAFVR
birth 05/02/20, Zachrašťany / Hradec Králové /
† 03/03/42
Crew: (Vickers Wellington Mk.IC (R1167, KX-A) 311 Sqn RAF)
Sgt Karel DANIHELKA (787172) 1.pilot
Sgt Vladimír HANZL (787491) 2.pilot
F/O Ladislav ŘÍHA (82527) Nav.
Sgt František JANČA (787845) WOP/AG
Sgt Dobromil ŠPINKA (787889) WOP/AG
Sgt Adolf PODIVINSKÝ (787589) AG
Operation: High Ball - A raid on EMDEN
18:51 pm Start from RAF stn EAST Wretham.
21:20 pm The crew reported the attack a German night fighter.
(probably Bf110 Stab II/NJG2 Obfw Paul GILDNER)
21:45 pm Havarie North Sea 20 km northwest of TERSCHELLING.
The book is a mistake.
Correctly applies Vickers Wellington Mk.IC (Z1167, KX-A)
Best Regards PAVEL

Re: ŠPINKA Dobromil. Czech 311 Sqn RAF Wellingto KX-A

Hi Jeffe
I know a sister of Mr. Charles DANIHELKA (1.pilota) Wellington KX-A.
He was born and lived in the city of Pardubice. (Pardubice I live).
Sister spoke beautifully about his brother.

Hi Jeff
I'm sorry. I'd like to help you. Unfortunately, my options are very limited. My interest is focused on everything around 68 Sqn RAF. I've never not collected photos čs.airmen. Therefore, we can not offer you. Try to connect with people around http://fcafa.wordpress.com. In my opinion, these people are very qualified.
Your work is excellence, so be patient in your efforts.
Himself sometimes do not understand that nobody cares 68 Sqn, its crew, its work. Surely somewhere there who has the same interests.
Regards Pavel
