Morning Mission (Hofer's P-51) oil finished . . .

Hi guys,

What started out to be a tiny oil "sketch" as a break and as a companion to "The Debden Kidd" evolved into a bigger canvas ... now, it's back to the real "The Debden Kidd".

"Morning Mission"
Oil on linen mounted to panel
18 x 24

Indeed, but is not it the time to do something about Mike Sobanski?

Sobanski certainly deserves 'documentation' on canvas . . . as you know, he was KIA on 6th June in Deacon Hively's The Deacon. That was the only day that plane wore D-Day stripes. There's a picture of it in Garry Fry's The Debden Eagles in full stripes ... obviously shortly before it's final flight.

Yes, inded, Nick Megura crashed his own F in Sweden. Mike and Ed Steppe checking his damage - nice idea. Mike's aircraft crashed in currently urbanised area, so unfortunatelly no digs are possible. My friend has some copies of his diary but unfortunately no 4 FG part.
