BoB show Sept 1945 FW's

Hi Guys.
In Sept 1945 there was a display of numerous German A/C in Hyde Park.
One of them was the FW 190 that was eventually sent to south Africa.
Does anybody know where I can find photos of the A/C on that display, and what Newspapers where active in London at that time.
hey may have taken good quality photos as well.
Thx

Hi Kutsha.
I did That and got a number of photos, mainly by a Clive Barker, of that show, but mostly overview shots.
There is one shot of the one FW 190. There were two on display.
They also showed our Fi 156.
I am hoping there are other , more close up shots that I can chase.
Followed up on many google pages but nothing significant that I can use.
Thx

Hi.
Thx for the reply.
This is what I am looking for.
Do you know where I can get a bigger copy of this photo??
I see LEMB is down.
The second FW we got is still a problem.
I will chase Flight and Flypast Mags. They reported the show as well.

Re: FW 190's on Display, Hyde Park, 1945

I had some correspondence with Anthony Speir in the 80's, he had a few pictures of the 190 as it originally appeared. If he is still around, perhaps you can check with him. He was the curator at the SANMMH at the time, and was in charge of the restoration of the 190.
