Re: Poland

Hello Koursk94,

All P-24 mentioned in this list were very likely P-11. Polish air force in September 1939 did not use P-24 at all.

Regards,

Grzegorz

Re: Poland

Hello,
i found this pilot in the list:
Lt. Fritz Gutezeit 01.09.1939 Bf.109 D 3./JG 21 16.55 Raum Warschau PZL P-24 Pologne.

Is this the same pilot that later become a Nightfighter ?
Oblt. Fritz Gutezeit 6./NJG1, died in a colision with a Stirling on 20/05/42.

Re: Poland

Koursk 94

Polish AF did not use a single P.24 in its inventory.

May I refer you to Andrzej Morgala and his book Samoloty Wojskowe w Polsce 1924-1939 and page 79 where he makes a summary of all P.24 built.
In Poland there were three only, the prototype + SP-ATO and SP-BFL.

So regardless what others indicate, I am very certain that Mr Morgala is 100% correct

Cheers
Stig

Re: Poland

Hello milleke,

yes, it's the same pilot. Look here: http://www.ww2.dk/Lw%20Offz%20G-K%202015.pdf.
