72 Sqn 24 Sep 40

Apparently an unknown pilot claimed to have destroyed a Ju 88 at 0845 hrs on this date. Does anyone now have an idea who this pilot might have been?

Hello Chris,
Firstly, just to inform that I noted the "Brahma Beer" on my list...off course, you will taste other samples/breeds, if you do come...be sure of that.
Secondly...I do not know when, but I do have F/Sgt John Stanley Gilders claiming a Do 17 on that day...You certainly do know the times, etc.
There is not too much information to add from here, sadly: http://www.battleofbritain1940.net/0051.html

Friendly yours,
Adriano

Re: 72 Sqn 24 Sep 40

Thanks Adriano. Claimants were Steere (Bf 109 prob), Lee (Do 17 dam) and 4 unknowns (Ju 88 dest, Bf 109 prob, Bf 109 dam, Do 17 dam). Guess last one was Gilders. However, I am only interested in the Ju 88.

Keep the beer on ice..........
