Identification of a line of four Me 262s at Lechfeld in the summer of 1944?

			Good afternoon,

These pictures are from a recent posting by kurmark-antik on eBay.de. http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/album....pictureid=1741 This known photo shows a line-up of eight Me 262s of Erprobungskommando 262. The caption gives the location as Lechfeld and the time as September 1944. http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/album....pictureid=1742 This photo presumably was taken at the same place and time as the above. Note the line -up of four other Me 262s in the top left corner. http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/album....pictureid=1743 This enlargement is the best I can do with the given resolution of the photograph. Comments and educated guesses as to the Identity of their unit would be appreciated. Thank you, Jim |

Good eyes ! The dark colored upper fins could be relied with KG51 or Kdo Schenck ?

			Hi Von Alles,

Thank you. I concur. They are likely from 2./KG 51 with red tips or 3./KG 51 with yellow tips. It is impossible to make out any individual aircraft letter behind the balkenkreuze. Hi egbert, Unfortunately the method I use to post my tweaked photos is to upload them to the album I am allotted on this site which has room for about 30 pictures. On average I posted about five pictures per week so after the first six weeks, I had to delete the first five to make room for the seventh post. From then on I was deleting photos on a regular basis which I continue to do as needed. best regards, Jim |
