Information about 1Lt. James D. Holloway and Capt. Paul R. Mass, both of 82. FG, 95. Sqd. MED. Theater of Operations

Gentlemen, I'm looking for information about these two former P-38 pilots of WW2. The both flew a mission to Austria on June 26th, 1944 and both claimed at least 1 x Me 410 on that day.

1Lt. James Davis Holloway - O-753664 of Columbus, North Carolina, a US-fighter ace with at least 6 victories - MIA since May 2nd, 1945 or June 18th, 1945 in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations - very interesting!

Capt. Paul Ray MASS - O-760358

Any help, pictures and informations are appreaciated. Thanks - K.

Hi Kurt. Holloway scored all 6 with the 95FS ..
16-6-44 1
24-6-44 1
26-6-44 3
7-7-44 1 (from Study 85 credits).
He was MIA on 18 June 45 with 459FS / 33FG (Tenth AF) 60m SE Moulmein (Burma) on an escort mission to Bangkok; based Dudhkundi in India but apparently took off from Rangoon in P-38L 44-24245. He is remembered on the Manila Memorial and MACR is 14714.

Hope this is useful
Nick

PS - Mass credited with 4;
13-4-44 1
26-6-44 2
22-7-44 1

Between stationed in the MTO and the CBI, Holloway was a Ontario (CA) based Flight Instructor. See https://catalog.archives.gov/id/5718...ct-thumb--1879
