Control of offensive aircraft spring 1945.
Hi,
Maybe in the margins of the interest sphere of many of you, but who is not interested in the last days of the luftwaffe. As some of you will know the Freya EGON was originally conceived as a navigational aid for offensive aircraft and first used to control missions by I/KG 66 against the UK in 1944. In the spring of 1945 a whole chain of sites had been established in The Netherlands and in Western Germany. I have combined info from Trenkle, BAMA RL 7/100 and ASI Report 33 into this update on GYGES: http://www.gyges.dk/II%20JK%20spring%201945%202.htm Enjoy bregds SES |
