I am not sure these two photos are of the same a/c. The < of I.JG 3 is a well known photo (so I doubt this is an original). The close up is a D-9 but the camouflage looks different: dirtier and not nearly so neat.

Hello

No this is not a night fighter , this is one of the FW 190D-9 wearing what we called ,in Fw 190D camouflage and marking , Part 1 , Japo 2005, a W3 undersides scheme (not official designation) , leading hedge in a medium / dark colour , more to come in our next coming book about some of theses aircrafts and this painting sheme .

"black < " is a IV/JG3 aircraft.
