Re: Claims from Mustang Units 14th Feb 1945

If it's 8th Air Force claims you're looking for, Kent D. Miller's Fighter Units & Pilots of the 8th Air Force - Vol 1 (Schiffer) has a chronological listing of claims: for each date, it lists the FG, pilot, claim, and location. By 14 Feb 45, the 56th FG was the only non-Mustang FG in the 8th, so it's easy to tally up the claims by the other (P-51) groups on that date.

Re: Claims from Mustang Units 14th Feb 1945

The 354FG was flying P-47's at that time so you don't have to clutter up the "Mustang" research.

The 20th claimed a damaged Me 262 near Stuttgart,

The 356th and 364th scored on Fw 190s in the Chemnitz area and the 479th tangled mostly with 109s SW Berlin (Robin Olds claimed the only Fw190)

None of the above outfits lost any to German a/c, the 479th lost one to flak

Regards,

Bill Marshall
