CH-64 “Chow Hund” - American Anti-Aircraft Missile Designed by Captured German Engineers
Check out this article at RetroMechanix.com on the CH-64 "Chow Hund," an American anti-aircraft missile study designed by captured German engineers under USAAF supervision in late 1945:
This four page article features 8 high resolution images, including detailed schematics of the missile. One of the engineers involved in the project, Dr. Gerhard Braun, was a key figure in the development of the Hecht and Feuerlilie anti-aircraft rockets at LFA Braunschweig during WW II. If anyone has further information on the German personnel involved in the project, feel free to post here or comment directly on the article at the site. -Jared |
