FW190 part : a ring with screws

Hi guys,

a friend of mine found this ring on a FW190A crash site.

Size: 13 cm diameter.

Any idea what this could have been ?

Thanks

GC

Re: FW190 part : a ring with screws

Looks like the ring for a fuel filler neck on a fuel bladder or something along those lines. With all those fasteners & safety wire it most likely wasn't used for a "metal to metal" type of connection.

Is the material under the ring leather or rubber?

Re: FW190 part : a ring with screws

thanks for the answer Revi.

My friend does not have the part anymore, and he does not remember very well.

He believes it was all metal..

Good evening.
