Another Destroyed FW 190
Another one from my dad's collection.
My dad was a mechanic with RCAF 403 Wolf Squadron. The caption on the back just says "Destroyed FW 190". Can anyone identify this plane? Cheers, Kickinghorse |

Re: Another Destroyed FW 190
Looks like a Fw190A from sturmstaffel 1, the pains still shows were the armoured plates were fitted. Odd that at least one was still around at the end of the war.

Re: Another Destroyed FW 190
The unit operated the A6 and A-7 models. It was disbanded at the end of April 1944.

Re: Another Destroyed FW 190
I would say a FW190A-8 from JG-4

Re: Another Destroyed FW 190
Band is to dark compared to the balkenkreuz for the black/white/black of JG4.
Would go with a JG2 or JG6 machine. Kickinghorse1, it would help if the base the photo was taken at was known. |

Re: Another Destroyed FW 190
Band is too dark! It doesn't get any darker than black. The Balkenkreuz looks faded.

Yellow looks black in some types of films.
