Hello,
Have just been sent a copy of Bird-Wilson's logbook, but still lack the photography necessary to profile his a/c during either the WC/FC or the BoB. Need further photography for that. Also, does anyone have the photos Gerry refers to for Peter Dawbarn's Hurricane? I'll need to do at least seven 17 SQ Hurricane profiles covering from 09.39 through 12.40. Still don't have firm ID on photos of YVoI FL during the French Campaign. Anybody got any ideas?

Ed,
Thanx for both of these. The restored Hurricane looks like it has something under the cockpit on the starboard side, some kind of scoreboard or something? Anybody know what that is?

Hello,
Does anyone know the date and place for this photo? What was Bird-Wilson's rank at the time? Is this his a/c P3878 in which he was shot down by Adolf Galland on 24 September 1940? Thanx.

Hi Larry
I can't help you with that I'm afraid. I have seen a picture of this aircraft (YB-W) with Jack Ross stood at the front and it doesn't have the artwork. There is also this photograph which I believe also shows YB-W without the artwork. One for the experts i'm afraid. My limited knowledge really only covers the aircrew. Regards Gerry

Gerry,
Thanx. This Hurricane is almost certain to be the subject of an EoE Profile when we get to the BoB period. I'm sure someone who is an expert on British pilots during the BoB will chime in here so that I can get these photos correctly entered into the photo DB for future use. I would like to know the names of the other people in the photo and the provenance of the photo.
