On the other hand:
  • one aircraft is standing on oil drums and has a propeller, just like Re 2002 "black 2"
  • the other is on its undercarriage legs (no wheels), has no propeller and a smashed cowling, just like Re 2002 "white 7"
  • they are stood in front of the burnt-out hangar, just like the two Re 2002
A difference in this latest photograph is that the aircraft on its undercarriage legs no longer has its tailfin, possibly removed as a souvenir, and I would suggest that the same is true of the missing wingtips, hence the "clipped wing" appearance.

Hi Xerumbe

They are both indeed Re 2002. The one on the left clearly has its engine intake
still intact on the upper part of its cowling.
The aircraft on the right is much more "fallen apart" and the intake is missing and so is also quite a bit of the port wing, including its rear and also the rounded wing tip. Another photo showing exactly this aircraft and its starboard wing where one can see the rounded wing tip still in place.

Cheers
Stig

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Thank you gentlemen,
you are right, these are undoubtedly photographs posterior to the date of discovery of the wrecks on the ground of Bron. These had to be "mutilated".

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hello Rudi,
GWF-built Bf 110 G-4 (WNr. 730293) was coded G9+NP from NJG1. I hope someone knows where this aircraft was found.
Respectfully,
Steve Sheflin

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Dear RudiS,

Thanks as ever for your relentless efforts ! We have today three more shots of Bf 109 G-14/AS W.Nr. 784993 “Weisse 13”, of the ill-fated Uffz Herbert Maxi, IV/JG 27; he was shot dead by members of the 455th AAA battalion as he climbed out of his cockpit after having pulled off this clean belly landing on 1 January 1945.

Cheers
Marc
