Tom

My main basis for the Hs 122 is the book by Klaus Wartmann.
He mentions only the A-0 and not any B-0

Can you elaborate a bit on your ID and the production of the type?
I always thought the order for the Hs 122 A (A-0) was more or less cancelled.
D-IMSU is not mentioned by Klaus for example.

Cheers
Stig

Re: eBay: German intrest

Hi Stig
I agree with you about the A-0 series as being cancelled and the Type went straight over to the B-0 series. William Green (do not right him off as many do) gives 7 B-0s as being built. Not certain of the original source but 27 Type A-1s were cancelled. This gives the number of 34. By coincidence there is a gap of 34 in the Henschel W/Nrs sequence from 636 to 669. I have Hs122 - 645 - D-IISI (TI+HI) of Est Travemunde in Nov.1939 (which I conclude is a Type B-0). I also think that D-ISMU is within this W/Nr sequence frame.

Re: eBay: German intrest

Thanks Tom

I have not been able to produce any accurate Henschel production list.
So your source for the existence of the B-0 is only William Green?

No other, later source I have, mentions it at all, so while not writing off anyone, I think I will need some other verification of that subversion's existence.

Cheers
Stig

Re: eBay: German intrest

Hi. Looked for some other Hs122 references and in the Hs126 book by R.Panek and R.Peczkowski there is a short section on the Hs122. Apart from the prototypes they mention 19 A-0 series aircraft. Mike

Re: eBay: German intrest

Thanks Stig & Mike
Logically the A-0 should be built first. I have seen other references to 7 & 16 Type A-0 being built. There should be Production Monthly Tables giving total figures for the Hs 122 production. Has anybody see these or access to them - Thanks
