You are right to post this. While historians, experts and specialists want detailed information, the public needs a more 'popular' history to keep memories alive, inform the public and get new blood interested in the time period. I work in the book business (fiction) and one thing we must do on a regular basis is promote new titles and find new web sites to follow the proliferation of 'social media.' We know our fan base is aging and we would like new fans.

And why do you get so many titles starting with “Hitler’s ...”, “Stalin’s ...” or “Churchill’s ...” but rarely (that I can remember) “Roosevelt’s ...”?
