Sonderkommando Kunkel / Arthur Ewert claim on 27 May 1944
Good morning everybody,
I read in Pierre Babin's excellent book about the Wekusta 2 that Arthur Ewerdt (belonging to the Sonderkomando Kunkel) shot down on 2 May 1944 an aircraft in Toulouse area. Would any of you have more information about this claim ? NVM ? Aircraft type ? place ? etc... Thanks a lot, and enjoy the summer GC |

Re: Sonderkommando Kunkel / Arthur Ewert claim on 27 May 1944
sorry, I mixed up dates: it was on 2 May, not on 27 May as mentionned in the title .
Apologies for the confusion. GC |

Re: Sonderkommando Kunkel / Arthur Ewert claim on 27 May 1944
Johannes
on the Toulouse raid, no aircraft was lost, so, I think that Arthur Ewert thought he had shot down a Halifax whereas it probably only damaged. Thanks fro your help GC |
