109G-6 crash Tranders Denmark 30/8 1944
Hi everyone,
I recently came into ownership of this 109G-6 lower left hand cooler flap and was wondering if anyone could help me out to find any information or pictures about this crash or the G-6 involved and the pilot. I have contacted Soren Flensted and he has kindly found out and provided me with the information about the crash The aircraft that was belly landed in Noerre Tranders on 30/8 1944 at 20:00 hrs after having hit some electrical wires was Bf 109G-6 serial number 412118.The flap must have been ripped off when the Bf 109 skidded over the fields. It then burned killing the pilot Fähnrich Günther Krieger from 1./ JG 102. He was laid to rest in Frederikshavn cemetery on 6/9 1944. any information or help would be very greatly appreciated so I can tie up the proveneance with this flap! regards Matt |

Nobody?
Günther Krieger ruht auf der Kriegsgräberstätte in Frederikshavn (Dänemark) . Endgrablage: Block 7 Grab 825 I would like to contact anyone who knows anything about the crash or has anyway of getting some more information about the machine or pilot, if anyone can find a photo or any extra info that I dont already know about the crash (witness account etc.) then I will send them a Db605 ventil (valve) as a gift Last edited by Matt starr; 4th September 2006 at 20:42. |
