Hello,

Currently on ebay is a photo of a Mitsubishi A6M2 with partial tail code -108. Has anyone a full identity for the machine?

Re: Photos Japanese Naval Aircraft

Hi Clint. The silver N1K1-J (ex-341 Ku) was captured at Clark Field PI. and taken on by the Technical Air Intelligence Unit (TAIU) marked with their "S" designator as "S9. It doesn't seem to have been sent to the US.

Nick

UPDATE..The N1K1 / S9 was wrecked in a crash-landing; the camouflage was stripped as were some other captured planes (eg. J2M3 Jack "S12"). Tail ID was 341-S23.
