Since the last update the following changes have been applied to the LuftwaffeData Wiki:

1. New pages created for Aufklärungsgruppe Ob.d.L. and its associated units. All text kindly provided by H.L. deZeng IV.

2. In addition the original Aufklärungsgruppe Ob.d.L. page which mainly contained Oberst Rowehl's history of Aufklärungsgruppe Ob.d.L. has been moved to Aufklärungsgruppe Ob.d.L. by Oberst Theodor Rowehl

3. Pages have been created for the following Aufklärungsverbände:-

1. Updates to Aufkl. Gr. 122 Dec 1943 and Aufkl. Gr. 122 Jan 1944‎ diary pages with information from DEFE3 files.

2. Additional notes added to 2.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 22 (2nd Formation) under the section called "Additional Notes and Losses". These have been derived from the AOK 11 KTB covering June and early July 1941.

3. New pages created for Fernaufklärungsgruppe 1; Stab./FAGr 1; 1.(F)/FAGr. 1; 2.(F)/FAGr. 1; Fernaufklärungsgruppe 2 and Stab./FAGr 2. Text for all of these pages kindly provided by H.L. deZeng IV.

4. Additional notes added to 2.(F)/11 (3rd Formation); 4.(F)/14‎; 3.(F)/31‎ and 3.(F)/121 (2nd Formation) under the section called "Additional Notes and Losses"‎ covering entries for 7th and 8th August 1940 from Luftflotte 3 Einzelmeldung.

Good Morning,

1. New page created for DEFE 3/10 containing the Luftwaffe entries transcribed from the corresponding National Archives DEFE3 file. This covers the decryption period between 5th December 1943 and 9th December 1943.

2. New pages created for Aufklärungsgruppe 100; Stab./100; 1.(F)/100; 2.(F)/100; 3.(F)/100; Aufklärungsgruppe 120 and 1.(F)/120. Text for all of these pages kindly provided by H.L. deZeng IV.

3. "Additional Notes and Losses" section added to 4.(F)/121 with entries for July 1940, information derived from Luftflotte 3 Einzelmeldung.

4. Update to the "Additional Notes and Losses" section in the 3.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 121 (2d Formation) page for items relating to July 1940, information derived from Luftflotte 3 Einzelmeldung.

5. A small change to the Lw.-Bau-Btl. 8/XII‎ page placing this unit at Karankut over a month earlier than previously identified.

6. Update to Aufkl. Gr. 123 1942 for 1 July - 10 July 1942 and 31 Dec 1942 all information from DEFE 3 files.

7. Update to Aufkl. Gr. 123 1940 for 5 Oct - 19 Oct 1940 - information from Luftflotte 3 Einzelmeldung.

Am I correct in thinking that you used to provide a downloadable PDF of the notes derived from each DEFE 3 file? I found these very helpful but can no longer see these. I appreciate it's not a massive amount of extra effort to create my own but just wondered as to the driver for this decision.

I still produce a pdf version but only distributed that via e-mail.

On the earlier site I suffered from issues related to some of the downloads.

If you would like the pdf version send me a pm with your e-mail address and I'll send you the file. (I have a Word version as well..)

Given that production of this one was delayed for nearly a year, due to other commitments, don't hold your breath waiting for the next one....

Good morning,

Since the last full update the following changes have taken place on the Luftwaffedata Wiki:-

1. As indicated on my post of 25th Feb all of the DEFE3 pages have been updated to include links to downloadable pdf copies of the notes. Thanks to Steve Coates for drawing my attention to the lack of those pdf files since the new site had been built.

2. Update to Aufkl. Gr. 123 1943 for 4 to 10 Jan 1943 ; 11 Jan 1943; 13 Mar 1943; 23 to 26 Mar 1943 and 28 to 30 Mar 1943. Majority of the information derived from DEFE 3 files.

3. New page created in memory of Siegfried Hagen, a member of 6.(F)/122 who was lost in a crash on 22.11.44 - information and documents kindly supplied by Ulrich Habermann, Siegfried's nephew.

4. Update to Aufkl. Gr. 123 1942 for 24 Dec 1942 covering the loss of Fw Alois Ripplinger and Lt. Bernhard Frank - photo of Ripplinger included together with the 486 (NZ) Sqdn combat report. Thanks to Dave Wadman for the documents and the detail.

and last but not least -

5. New pages created for the Nahaufklärungsgruppen including Reconciliation of Formation Data; Staffeln Subordinated; Aufklärungsstaffeln - Disbandment & Redesignation and Nahaufklärungsgruppen - Reconciliation as of 5 July 1943. In addition pages for the following units have also been created - Nahaufklärungsgruppe 1; Stab/NAGr. 1; 1./NAGr. 1; 2./NAGr. 1; 3./NAGr. 1; Nahaufklärungsgruppe 2; Stab/NAGr. 2; 1./NAGr. 2; 2./NAGr. 2 and 3./NAGr. 2.
