Possible NATO A/C crash near Haguenau (France) in 1955
Hello,
I'm looking for information about a "supposed" NATO aircraft crashed "in flame" near or between Pechelbronn and Gunstett in North-East of France, not so fare from the German border and Strasbourg city. According to my contact and a newspaper, the pilot was killed after its plane crashed nearby an oil well. Thanks in advance for your help Best regards Franck |

Re: Possible NATO A/C crash near Haguenau (France) in 1955
Hello,
I found an additional info: the pilot could have been a Canadian one. On the 2sd of September 1955, Flying Officer Edward Stewart Oliver died at Haguenau. He was belonging to 413th RCAF Fighter Squadron. Best regards Franck |

This gives the serial number of Oliver's plane as 23108.

Hello,
Thanks a lot for this information I also Food on the same website. 413th squadron ORBs are here https://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/o...3/1833?r=0&s=1 It is clearly written the pilot did not recover from a spin resulting from a dog fight. Best regards Franck |
