WW II Funeral Announcement for: 1LT Carl D. Nesbitt. Missing in action for over 78+ years, 1LT Carl D. Nesbitt has been identified & will receive a full military honors burial service on 15 MAY 2023 in Annville, Pennsylvania, USA. LT Nesbitt of the 8th Air Force ~ 390th Bomb Group ~ 569th Bomb Squadron was the pilot in command of B-17G ~ 42-39953, nick named “Yankee Doodle Dandy”. His B-17 was shot down over Leipzig, Germany on 29 MAY 1944.
