Information concerning loss of Georg Krauser - 2/StG 103 pilot - killed 09.09.1943

Hi,

Could anyone provide information on the loss of pilot Georg Krauser who was with 2/StG 103 and was lost on the 9th September 1943 north east of Frankfurt?

Rick,

Year is 1944 instead? Ofgr. Georg Kräuser, lost in Ju-87R-2, Wnr. 6109 on 9-9-1944 near Gedern, bad weather.
Crew member was Ogefr. Ewald Sommer, also killed. See (e.g.) website Aircrewremembered.com

There were two more Stuka weather related crashes of SG103 with all 4 crew killed in area, plus one emergency landing.

Yes you are quite right 1944. My apologies.

Seems an awful mess the same unit losing 3 or 4 aircraft due to bad weather in one go.

The other two 2./Schlachtgeschwader 103 losses were
Ju 87 B-1 WNr. 5514 (F Uffz Georg Wagner, Bf Uffz Siegfried Beuerle) and
Ju 87 B-1 WNr. 0261 (F Gefr Fritz Deiken, Bf StGefr Siegfried Bader).
