SSgt Oliver "Ollie" Morris, 8th AF, 453rd BG, 735th BS, B-24 gunner
• Unit: 453rd Bomb Group 735th Bomb Squadron
• Highest Rank: Staff Sergeant • Role/Job: waist gunner https://www.americanairmuseum.com/ar...ver-l-morris-0 https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries...ry?id=38261465 I. He was an engineer/ waist gunner on a B-24 Bomber and flew 35 missions over Europe, two missions in support of the Normandy Invasion on D-Day, shot down two ME-109s, and received the distinguished flying cross. 8th AFHS
