Bassam Hamshu

Hello there gentlemen,

has Bassam Hamshu scored more confirmed MiG-21-kills than any other Non-Vietnamese ?

Cheers,

Michael

Re: Bassam Hamshu

...I just finished reading "Arab MiG-19 and MiG-21 Units in Combat" by Nicolle and Cooper. It is a very interesting and well-balanced book indeed.
According to that book there might have been two Arab pilots with a valid score that qualifies them as aces: Bassam Hamshu (7) and Adeeb el-Gar (6), both Syrians. The Egyptians didn't produce MiG-21 aces.

Cheers,

Michael

Re: Bassam Hamshu

Has there ever been made a list of Arab aces that gained some kind of officialdom?
