Re: August Lambert II./SG 2
Hi Michael
Sounds like you doubt Dahl's honesty whilst claiming? His pattern of claims doesn't suggest such a thing. However my co-author John Foreman thinks he might have been a bit dodgy. Clearly during 1945 he used just a couple of wingmen, this would have given him the opportunity to test their honesty! A claims/loss expert will better answer this. Kind Regards Johannes |

Re: August Lambert II./SG 2
Hello Johannes,
I'm not a claim-loss-expert nor particularly interested in that matter. It would be of more interest to know if it's justified to say that August Lambert most likely has scored the entirety of his claims in the Fw190. See you in the Dahl thread, Michael |

Re: August Lambert II./SG 2
Good afternoon Gentlemen,
is it justified so say that August Lambert most likely scored all of his kills in the Fw 190?:

Re: August Lambert II./SG 2
Hi Chris
The mikrofilms do not discriminate, basically SG units are largely missing from March 1944. KLM papers record Lambert's last his 103rd(not Russian)the rest may turn up on an abschüßelist sometime, almost certainly one was made by the Luftwaffe authorities as I have one from one of the pilots flying with him. Regarding matching Russian loses. It appears Lambert was dis-liked by his immediate superior, don't know why, could be jealousy, the French name, or simply he was suspected of "over-claiming" as his claims pattern would suggest. Kind Regards Johannes |

Re: August Lambert II./SG 2
Good morning Johannes,
in any case he's an unusual guy among those 15 aces with 100+ kills in the Fw 190 (eleven aces were from JG54 and three from JG51). http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...ert#post328454 Cheers, Michael |
