Ju-87 force landing at Dokos island, Greece
Hello ,
I will need the help of the experts to identify a Ju-87 Stuka which made a force landing at Dokos Island ( near Hydra island) , Greece. The force landing took place at 1941-2 and both crew members survived. The airplane remained on the island and nowadays there are many relics. A friend of mine has the metal plate with the serial number and a compass of the pilot. ( Sorry, but I have some years to write a thread ☺️ and I have a problem in uploading the photo so I will write the numbers manually) Serie: 11312/1107 Zeichn: 8 - 87.215 Fabr. Monat.: 2 41 Can anyone help in finding details about that incident? Thank you in advance. Tasos molaoiairfield.Wordpress.com |

Re: Ju-87 force landing at Dokos island, Greece
Since no one has answered, I believe the plaque you have found belongs to some Ju 87 part,
and not the complete aircraft itself. Cheers Stig |

Re: Ju-87 force landing at Dokos island, Greece
Thank you for your answer.
I think that this plaque is the “identity” of the aircraft and I still believe that someone could help me. Also I found an older post on Facebook which refers to 24/5/1941 as the date of the crash landing at Dokos. Can anybody please check that date if there was a Stuka loss in Greece? Thank you. |

Re: Ju-87 force landing at Dokos island, Greece
The plate is as Stig says is not the aircraft plate as there is no Wk Nr but it does belong to a Ju 87. Found this for that date:
II./StG 1 Ju 87 R-2 6083 - F, Insel Dakos (Dokos!), Notlandung infolge Brennstoffmangel. Bruch 100 %. No crew details Last edited by Chris Goss; 14th August 2023 at 18:51. |

Your posts were very helpful. Also thanks a lot for the information about the incident , ( interesting mispelling of Dokos , one of the many ,regarding Greek names , I had came across in the various archives ). My name is Tasos for sure!😊 |

Nice
I went to the Island once with two Greek friends of mine and we stayed until sunset. Very beautiful place! Cheers Stig |
