Information concerning the loss of Oberfeldwebel Alfred Halbour - Nachtjager - killed 22.12.44

Hi,

I have recently bought a rather sad and tattered sterbebild of a nightfighter called Alfred Halbaur.

Despite its condition it still has a good photo of him and the usual details found on a prayer card.

Please could anyone provide information on his loss? The card says clearly he was lost in a night air battle with terror fliers on the 22nd December 1944.

Nothing is known about the circumstance and the exact location, the name of the pilot, who remained uninjured is also unknown. With him on board were radio operator Oberfeldwebel Alfred Halbauer (KIA), another radio operator (uninjured) and flight engineer Johann Boiger (wounded).
