Details of Flt Lt Bevan needed

I have got some photos belonging to a Flt Lt, either a C or G Bevan, on the back of the photo it has number 20715, not sure if that means anything. Some of the photos he is wearing KD uniforms.

Does anyone know anything of this pilot?

Thanks

Danny

Re: Details of Flt Lt Bevan needed

I have looked at some more photos. And it seems his middle name actually starts with a C, his full details, as it’s scrubbed on a small photo, and barely visible.

Squadron Leader John C Bevan. Born 28 Nov 1912, married to Molly Bevan.

Any service details would be good.

Thanks

Danny

Possibly John Cledwyn Bevan (36040). He was a S/Ldr with 12 Group in June 1941.

That’s the guy! Thanks all. Would be interesting to see if he was served in a combat role or staff duties. He was awarded a MID in 1946, finished as a acting W/C when he left.

He was involved in a Hurricane (V7349) accident on 19 June 1941. Also see https://www.rafcommands.com/database...40&qname=BEVAN
