Re: Where was Maj. Sylvan FELD buried in August 1944?
On pages 145 and 146 of the IDPF file, pages that were done in Frankfurt when the "body" (at this point skeletal remains) was identified via dental records the examiners note a possible "small arms bullet wound in the left pelvis".
Page 125 has a summary of Marcel Stephens statements. He saw Feld die in the ambulance and notes he was wounded in the crotch. Pages 126 - 129 have a statement by Lewis given to MI-9 post war. He describes Feld as having a severe wound in the groin. |
