Rolls-Royce Merlin XX. - Halifax (Hannover Museum)
Evening all.
This guy has purchased Merlin XX from the Luftfahrtmuseum, Hannover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxpnyJDNTGM I am sure I recall this Merlin being recovered way back in the 90's in Jet and Prop or the like. Does anyone recall the magazine - where this Merlin might have been recovered from. Seems the museum does not know anything and no plates on the Merlin.(I would have thought it would have stamped numbers somewhere. Would be nice for the guy to know that history of his Merlin. regards, MS |

Re: Rolls-Royce Merlin XX. - Halifax (Hannover Museum)
As it is Peter Grieve of Flight Engineering at Carlisle I suspect already has the knowledge of where, what and how of that engine.

Re: Rolls-Royce Merlin XX. - Halifax (Hannover Museum)
He has a ex-Bristol Beaufighter IIf engine now running.
This Merlin XX was purchased in 2017 but this video was only posted 2 weeks ago and in the video he indicates he has no idea on its history? 2023 was when he was dismantling it. regards, Mark |
