Re: Losses 4. / Zerstörerschule 2 Wunstorf (Memmingen)

Hi,

just for Info... the exact crashsite for the Loss of:

1942-05-29, 4./Zerstörerschule 2, Ar 96 B-1, 4176, 2 km östlich Rethen, 11 km südöstlich Hannover/Aller
Zerstörerschüler Gefr Hauff, Diether, +
Bordfunkerschüler Gefr Asbahr, Klaus, +

is following. Due to Local Historian / timewitness in Rethem/Aller (today district "Heidekreis") 20 Kilometres northeast of Nienburg, happened this crash r. a. two Kilometres east of Rethem, between Kirchwahlingen and Rethemer Fähre.
If you check the Name of Dieter Hauff with Ancestry, you will find the Copy of his Death certificate from the registry office. (Sterbeurkunde No.1243)

Problem in Rethem/Aller was... a second Loss happened in the same Area on 30 March 1945 (B-17G 42-102590 Lt. R. Bennet Crew) from 381BG/535BS
When I was starting with investigation....most of the "Locals" remember that crash....

greetings streak98 (Dirk)
