Spitfire Mk. IX 5J-G, MK126 details
Hello!
I am searching any details about Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX coded 5J-G (serial number MK126) used in 126th Sqn. RAF from Harrowbeer in 1944 (was it a LF IXe version?). I'm particularly interested if this a/c belonged to any indvidual pilot or was used by many and when. Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Spitfire Mk. IX 5J-G, MK126 details
I cannot provide a full list of aircrew who flew MK126, although the following RAAF/Australian pilots with 126 SQN did so between 29 May 44 and 3 Oct 44 - Hinten LD, McFadyen JA, Halcombe FK, Grant JH, Kingsbury DH, Porter JRB. You may like to check or even download the relevant ORB pages through Public Records for other aircrew.

A minor point for future is that RAF is never 126th Sqn always 126 Sqn. USAAF would be 126th
