Re: Italian aircraft and their top aces
Hello Gianandrea,
this is very helpful info. Thanx. I'm a passionate collector of top-scoring aces of aircraft types. I included Bonnanini in my list of borderline cases: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...ight=bonannini Best greetings from Switzerland, Michael |

Re: Italian aircraft and their top aces
Good afternoon Gentlemen,
Ugo Drago claimed 13 kills in the Bf109. Does that make him the Italian top-scorer of that type ? Have a good start into the new week, Michael |

Re: Italian aircraft and their top aces
Good evening Gentlemen,
Håkan Gustavsson has updated the Teresio Martinoli kill list on his website: http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/italy_martinoli.htm Additional info about his shared claims can be found here: https://www.lesasdelaluftwaffe.fr/au...sio-martinoli/ Currently, I'm working through OSPREY COMBAT AIRCRAFT vol.145 "Macchi C.202/C.205V Units in Combat". Confusingly, Martinoli's final score is indicated as 22+8sh (p31) as well as 22+14sh (back cover). I'm particularly interested in the shared kills:
Furthermore, the German wikipedia says a 23rd personal kill was added later, when was it claimed (maybe a P-40 on 19Aug1942) ? I also opened a separate Martinoli thread: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...ight=martinoli Cheers, Michael Last edited by knusel; 17th August 2023 at 17:40. |

Re: Italian aircraft and their top aces
Good morning James,
nice to hear from you. I never heard about a successful Caproni Ca.133 pilot but the top scorer of the Caproni Ca.32 (in WW1) seems to be Egidio Carta with 2 kills. Have a good Sunday, Michael |

Re: Italian aircraft and their top aces
Hello James,
yes, that's interesting. I still have not ruled out that any other pilot had a higher Macchi M.C.200 score than Minguzzi. This is the thread about it: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...074#post331074 Have a good Monday, Michael |

Re: Italian aircraft and their top aces
I wondered if it's possible to determine the top scorers of the Fiat C.R.32 subtypes:
