unit request
I have lots of airplanes crahes en crews of the unit FIWS(See).
But i cant find what it mean? Does someone can give me where it stands for?

There were several: Fliegerwaffenschule (See) located at Bug/Rügen, Fliegerwaffenschule (See) Parow located at Parow, Fliegerwaffenschule (See) 1 located at Parow, Fliegerwaffenschule (See) 2 located at Bug/Rügen, Fliegerwaffenschule (See) 3 located at Dievenow.
If you need full description on these and other training units I suggest you to purchase the two-volume publication "Die Flugzeugführer-Ausbildung der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1935-1945" by Sven Carlsen and Michael Meyer. I recommend this book to everyone who is interested in knowing where and how all those much vaunted "experts" got their skills. Matti
