Re: Loss info for Bf 110
Hello,
Can't help with a location or date, but you will find a photograph of a St. St St.G 3 Bf 110 in Stefaan Bouwer's, Luftwaffe Crash Archive 'Desert Special' Vol.1 (p.86). The details read: StabstaffelStG3 - The code 2F was unusual and used only on Bf 110s of the Stabsstaffel/STG3 at this time of the war. The photo depicts a badly damaged Bf 110 on its belly. The coding, (2F+L-, which appears to be coloured, and has a black outline), is all that is visible on the badly twisted rear of the aircraft. There is a person standing in the mid-section of the cockpit. Source: Luftwaffe Crash Archive 'Desert Special' Vol.1. Bouwer,Stefaan. Walton-on-Thames:Red Kite,2020. p.86. Col. |

Many thanks Snautzer and Col.
Col, I think that the aircraft you described is the one. Doug |
