Question 18.2.1945 / Fw. Oskar Bösch / Pe-2

18.2.1945 - Fw. Oskar Bösch ; A/c: 11 ; 14./JG 3 ; Pe-2

Does anyone have information on where this plane was shot down (area) and at what time it could have been? A Luftwaffe archival document, if it exists, is welcome. Any information is welcome. Was it an attack on a larger group of bombers escorted by fighters in the Reetz / Stargard / Arnswalde area?
BR

Kris

Where was this place? I suppose that in February 1945 it was not in today's Germany (Lübkow - 17217 Penzlin).
So somewhere around Pommern (Operation Sonnenwende) area of Pyritz/Stargard/Reetz/Arnswalde?

Hello Kris,

Lübkow is a typo. Correct is Lübtow, a community in the district Pyritz.

Leo

A genuine Luftflotte 6 typo by the way, not one of mine!

That's what I thought, thank you for your help.

4 Abschüsse:
2 Il-, 1 La-5, 1 Pe-2 (Einzelheiten werden nachgemeldet)

By the way - maybe it is known in what area the Pe-2 was shot from this report (or where the first air contact took place)?

I did have a quick look for a »Nachmeldung« and I didn’t spot it but there are thousands of pages of Luftflotte 6 files you can explore.
