Jefferson David DORROH (09314)
Hello,
is anyone able to help with following questions? I would like to know the exact date of his USMC joining and also when he left the USMC. Thanks. Regards Zdenek Kocab |

I believe his name was Jefferson Davis Dorroh, Jr.
He started flight training while in college. A date I found (possible when he joined the Naval Reserve) was 9 July, 1941. https://www.newspapers.com/image/969...301.1707176564 The above seems to say he was to be commissioned (in the Marine Corps) upon completion of flight training. The date when he retired was in April, 1963. |

DOR CPT USMCR from Olynky, Stars and Bars - 31 May1943 DOR MAJ USMCR in 1 Jan 1945 Lineal List USMC/USMCR Officers - 25 Aug 1944 Olynky notes his middle name as David. |

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/...n-davis-dorroh He died in 2008. His father Jefferson Davis Dorroh (Sr) was born in 1889, the same year that Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War, died. |
