OKL locations, April 1945

Several Bundesarchiv files include handwritten notes in the third week of April saying the reporting was interrupted by the move of OKL from Kurfürst 1 to Kurfürst 4.

I'm guessing that 1 was Wildpark-Werder and 4 was Berchtesgaden, where Göring finished up. Can anyone confirm that, please?

Hi Nick,

the late 'SES' (Michaël Svejgaard) has details posted on his website:

http://www.gyges.dk/Luftwaffe%20comm...lities%202.htm

http://www.gyges.dk/Luftwaffe%20comm...lities%203.htm

I cannot vouch for the accuracy or original sources, other than to state that Michaël's work was usually impeccable.

I can confirm the move.
My father was in Oberkommando der Luftwaffe, General Staff officer in Generalquartier
meister 4.Abt, known date is 5.April 1945, moving from Wildpark/Werder to Berchtesgaden, captured by US troops and escaped home soon thereafter
