Re: Photo Farman

Hello,

Currently on ebay are some Farman photos showing some interesting (??) rudder markings

Farman CF 22 with an unfamiliar approach to the placement of the Tricolor

Farman MF.53 or MF. 55 showing a Tricolor on one rudder and the STAe number on the other

Admittedly, not a Farman, but interesting I thought, Bleriot XI-2 Bl.108. This machine has been seen before at the same event just showing the large 6B on the rudder, leading myself at least to wrongly believe that the 6B was an early form of STAe number. But clearly not so.

Re: Photo Farman

Hello,

As a follow up to the previous post in this thread,is the Farman designation known for the type referred to by the military as the Army Type LXXX?

Clint
